TQBiHEMT combines TriQuint’s E/D pHEMT and HBT processes, offering designers one technology to integrate previously incompatible functional blocks onto a single die, reducing part count, saving board space and improving overall system costs. TQBiHEMT enables the optimal integration of high power amplifiers in HBT on the same die as pHEMT low noise amplifiers and pHEMT switches, while remaining a cost effective design solution. TriQuint has added the TQP3M9009 to its low noise gain block family for high performance 3G/4G infrastructure. TriQuint has released a new low noise gain block that offers high gain over a broad .05 – 4 GHz frequency range. The TQP3M9008 is a cascadable amplifier that requires no external matching components and can reduce BOMs. The gain block provides 35.5 dBm OIP3, while still maintaining a low 1.3 dB noise figure, applicable for both Rx and Tx chains. The TQP3M9008 also provides a flat 20 dB gain up to 1.9 GHz (50 ohm input/output impedance; industry standard SOT-89 packaging), performance that makes them ideal for 3G/4G infrastructure as well as any other general wireless applications below 4 GHz. The new filter, created using a new proprietary technique, provides a passband bandwidth of 100MHz at 1250MHz intermediate frequency in digital tuner applications which is needed to support DOCSIS 3.0 channel bonding, a technology that combines four-to-eight DOCSIS channels to significantly increase downstream data rates.
