TriQuint Korea’s S.J. Enjoys Golfing

“Everyone has the chance to achieve their dreams, but it’s not always easy getting those chances.  I’m really happy; TriQuint has given me that opportunity to realize my dreams in life.  I believe that I can continuously grow together with TriQuint.”

S.J., TriQuint’s Korea Country Manager has been working at TriQuint for a little over six years. He loves to develop new business opportunities and manage challenging situations. Outside of work, S.J. picked up golfing. Three years ago, one of his colleagues recommended that he try golfing. He especially loved the iron shot and putting. “My golf skills have improved a lot…I won the 'longest drive' during the golf game with my colleagues during a sales conference meeting in Phoenix.” S.J. occasionally plays golf with his customers and also enjoys playing with his peers on business trips to the US.

Dave T. Avid Rock Climber from Oregon

“TriQuint has always been about people.  My manager, who trained me in every aspect of my job, always shared with me the history of our products and the trends he could see affecting the future.  This enabled my implementations to be effective and flexible, and it saved me a lot of re-work later on!  I believe the whole community here at TriQuint will continue to help me learn, grow and succeed.  And it’s all because they love communication.”

Dave started working for TriQuint in 2006 as a CAD engineer in the foundry business unit.  Outside of work, he loves to rock climb.  Dave began rock climbing in 1999.  He keeps his options open and likes to try new things, including different types of rock climbing. “Bouldering is like solving a Rubik’s Cube or a brain teaser; sport climbing is like running a mile.” When you’re bouldering, your protection is your spotter and the mat, and you work move by move. You can always jump off and try again. When you are sport climbing, your protection is the lead rope and the bolts that are set into the cliff. You have a different mental zone, you have to get out of your head, and trust your belayer; you only have one shot. Dave prefers bouldering because he approaches it like a puzzle. “It’s more accessible – more powerful and dynamic.”
