New Dual-Channel SMT Driver Sets High Performance Standards
September 17, 2012

TriQuint announces the world's first dual-channel 40 and 100 Gb/s SMT optical modulator driver offering superior channel-to-channel isolation that can also reduce BOMs while shrinking PCB areas dedicated to optical driver functions. The new TGA4947-SL delivers best-in-class channel to channel isolation: 30dB from DC to 40 GHz. Its surface-mount design simplifies assembly. The new driver is also a 'green' solution, lowering power dissipation by more than 50%. The TGA4947-SL is designed to support 40 Gb/s (DQPSK) and 100 Gb/s (DP-QPSK) modulation formats. TriQuint also simplifies RF connectivity with its Smart EVB™ test system that reduces set up and testing to minutes for the TGA4947-SL. Explore the innovation behind TriQuint's 10, 40 and 100 Gb/s optical solutions at the ECOC in Amsterdam, RAI conference center, Sept 17-19.
