TriQuint Releases Smallest Integrated GPS Module
October 13, 2008
TriQuint announced the release of its newest highly-integrated RF front-end module (FEM) for GPS (global positioning satellite) navigation systems. The new module combines filter and low noise amplifier (LNA) functions in the smallest package available today, enabling wireless handset manufacturers to add GPS functionality to next-generation products. The device expands TriQuint’s already extensive GPS portfolio including surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters now in use by a majority of the world’s leading PND makers. The new TQM640002 is now sampling and is designed for PND (personal navigation device) and automotive location-based systems as well as cellular handsets. TriQuint surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters in the module offer superior rejection, another key benefit for consumer and industrial GPS products.
