‘Green’ TriPower™ Delivers Record Efficiency: TriQuint’s new TriPower family of RF high-power transistors has dramatically improved 3G/4G wireless base station efficiency for reduced electricity costs and a smaller carbon footprint. TriPower devices, when used in a typical Doherty design, deliver a record 55% efficiency; other technologies’ efficiency approaches 42%. TriPower addresses the two primary challenges facing network operators: a need to expand capacity due to the explosive growth of smartphones and similar devices, plus the need to lower electrical costs. “TriPower delivers record efficiency for real cost savings while providing the capacity increase that 3G and 4G systems require,” said Brian P. TriQuint Releases Preliminary Q4 2009 Results: Based on increased holiday demand, TriQuint expects fourth quarter revenues of approximately $190 million. This is an increase from previous guidance of $175 million to $185 million. Fourth quarter net income is expected to range between $0.09 and $0.10 per diluted share and non-GAAP net income is expected to range between $0.12 and $0.13 per diluted share. Previous guidance was net income of $0.07 to $0.09 per diluted share and non-GAAP net income of $0.10 to $0.12 per diluted share.
