Patricia

Senior Manager, Fab Materials & Purchasing Systems

Patricia’s love of math spurred her career in engineering – a passion she’s been able to develop further at Qorvo. Patricia started her career in product design engineering in the automotive industry and then evolved into planning and quality roles in medical device and firearms industries. “My collective experience with engineering, procurement, and business in general, combined with my desire to work for a great company with a bright future, is what attracted me to Qorvo,” says Patricia.

At Qorvo, Patricia plays an important role in the execution of fab procurement activities and works with a variety of material, purchasing and buying managers. Her organizational skills, drive and decisiveness are the just a few of the traits she brings to her job, but it’s the collaboration with others that she finds most fulfilling. “I believe people are key to my success, so I want to empower them and build trust in an environment of open communication and collaboration,” says Patricia. “Qorvo is comprised of talented people with great ideas and I have been very fortunate working with individuals and teams to adopt best practices, implement new processes, and create a culture of continuous improvement.”

Outside of work, Patricia is a proud soccer, basketball and field hockey mom. She not only enjoys watching her kids at their sporting events but also likes playing basketball with her family, as well as hiking, boating, cooking, and traveling.

Hari

Associate Engineer

Hari thrives on a good challenge — a key factor that steered him toward a career in engineering. His role at Qorvo has provided a healthy dose and he's garnered the rewards. "During my 18 years at Qorvo, there is always a new challenge that tests my skills and ability," says Hari. "Because of this, when the task is successfully completed, it is truly rewarding and has provided continuous growth and skill development. It also gains the trust and respect from my leaders, which is very important to me."

Hari is also driven by curiosity of how things work. "My job is to provide advance engineering support for the fab tools in the thin film equipment engineering department," says Hari. "Part of the support is providing training and procedures documentation. This means knowing exhaustive details about the tools and processes, which fulfills my interest in the mechanics and effects of various things."

When it comes to collaboration — the cornerstone to Qorvo's success — Hari is an advocate. "I'm a very strong believer in the power of collaboration and I don't hesitate to look at things from various perspectives," says Hari. "What I value about Qorvo is that if I have a question or concern, I'll openly discuss it with all my colleagues, appreciating their input and work until we reach a successful outcome. I'm very aware I don't know it all and because of this it, I welcome the collaborative input that helps my projects thrive."

Traci

Technical Support Manager

IT managers have to evolve and meet the vital needs of those who rely on technology to perform their jobs. Take Traci, who develops and oversees Qorvo's helpdesk that supports employees worldwide. "My job is all about untangling issues that people are experiencing with technology," says Traci. "My team and I need to listen carefully, be empathetic, and ease frustrations, all while trying to get to the root of the problem. It takes a great amount of patience, but it is truly rewarding."

Serving others is essentially what IT is all about. As Qorvo continues to expand, Traci is working on developing a third iteration of the ticketing system to meet our growing needs. "My team and I must fully understand how people work and how to make them more productive and successful," says Traci. "This is what I love about my job: the process and hands-on experience of building tools that provide exceptional service to those around me."

While Traci's role is steeped in understanding a variety of disciplines throughout the company, she's adept at finding work/life balance. "Because of the various locations of the company, many teams work remotely," says Traci. "I appreciate the flexibility of being able to work from home when it better serves the needs of my family. Ironically, I worked with the team to implement the collaboration solutions that help us all communicate." When Traci isn't working, you'll find her with her family, camping, biking, baking and refurbishing a vintage camper.

Wade

Sr. Director Global Site Quality

For Wade, openness to new opportunities, the ability to successfully collaborate with others, and a keen understanding of systems have collectively driven his success at Qorvo and led him to his role as senior director of global site quality.

With a degree in mechanical engineering, Wade's flexibility to work in a variety of areas — customer support, product, supplier and others — put him in a great position as a go-to employee for strategic assignments.

"Working in all different areas of the company keeps things fresh and exciting, but it's also taught me valuable lessons," says Wade. "There are a variety of parts to any system, especially in site quality where you're dealing with processes, people, products and services. I now understand that I don't have to be an expert at everything. There are experts everywhere at Qorvo and it's been so gratifying to learn from their unique perspectives and move things forward as a team."

When asked how he maintains his own work/life balance, Wade says, "In addition to the guardrails that Qorvo has in place to ensure a balanced lifestyle, my family also keeps me in line. Outside of work, we do lots of family activities, like hiking, beach vacations and yard work — things that take us outside and allow me to unplug. I truly have the best of both worlds."

Vicky

Inside Sales Manager, EMEA

Vicky has worked with Qorvo since the late 2000s. Her Qorvo journey began as a director's assistant, where she was responsible for running the day-to-day activities of the UK sales / design office.

Since then, the role developed into Customer Service and now Inside Sales Manager responsible for customer and sales support covering EMEA. At the 2017 Global Sales Conference, she was awarded Internal Support Person of the Year. She feels proud to have built up an Inside Sales team and be recognized for her experience and knowledge within EMEA.

Prior to Qorvo, Vicky started her career as a visual merchandiser and is an amateur interior designer. She is also a big foodie, but prefers to eat more than cook. While traveling in the U.S., her Qorvo colleagues will often take her for burgers or ribs where she likes to challenge others to clean their plates faster then she can.

Sandy

Major Military Account Manager

The enthusiasm Sandy exudes when she talks about her role at Qorvo is infectious. She knows she's landed in the right job at the right place, even though it wasn't what she had in mind when she started her career. "I graduated from college with an electrical engineering degree," says Sandy. "While I was initially interviewing for engineering positions after graduation, I had several people ask me if I was interested in a sales position. This question always perplexed me."

It wasn't until after working as an electrical engineer for a few years, she was once again presented with the opportunity to blend her electrical engineering background with her knack for communications in an account manager role. This time, she accepted and she has thrived in the role ever since. "Constant communication is essential to the account manager function, and my engineering background helps to understand and solve tough RF design challenges," says Sandy. "From a communications standpoint, I need to keep everyone in the loop — engineers, customer service, product managers, customers — so that solution development goes smoothly. It's what I enjoy the most and drives me every day. It's funny that people must have seen these qualities in me before I was able to recognize them in myself."

When she's not working with one of Qorvo's largest defense customers, which she says is a true and exciting partnership, she's spending time with her young granddaughter. "The gravity of what I and others at Qorvo do isn't always apparent at first glance. Our solutions really do go into almost every product that communicates. These days, that's a lot of important applications," says Sandy. "Every day, remarkable efforts are made by our Qorvo teams to deliver these solutions to our customers. While chasing a toddler around all weekend may not seem like a stress reliever after an intense and invigorating week, it brings me a different kind of focus and great joy."

Chuck

Principal Packaging Engineer, Fellow

When Chuck was working for General Motors as an automotive engineer during college, his future role in developing filter packaging technologies based on state-of-the-art materials and processes was probably furthest from his mind. However, that's where life as a mechanical engineer led him and he's never looked back.

As one of Qorvo's principal packaging engineers, Chuck enjoys the hands-on approach to advancing packaging designs and the opportunities to work with cross-functional teams. "My favorite part of my job is working with people in all disciplines of the company to develop products that compete in the largest electronics market," says Chuck. "I not only work with engineering, technical support, sales and marketing, but I also directly communicate with customers to ensure packaging requirements meet current and future applications."

Chuck's success in his role is attributed to having an open mind, a willingness to accept change, and attention to detail. "These are the traits needed to work in a collaborative environment like Qorvo, where collective input is the key to the company's success to offering innovative solutions," says Chuck. "It also helps to have a curiosity about how things work and how they get made. That's what is fascinating about working at Qorvo and keeps my role so interesting."

Emmanuelle

Ph.D., Design Engineering Manager

Emmanuelle is one of our talented engineers responsible for growing an exciting area of our mobile business. She prides herself on connecting dozens of Qorvo design engineers and processes throughout our mobile engineering team to help make products smarter, faster and tailored for specific customer needs. What drives her work is her passion for bringing people together with a common goal of pushing the boundaries of mobile technology.

“In my role as a design engineering manager, I am often the common thread among mobile engineering projects,” says Emmanuelle. “This gives me a chance to foster a culture of shared vision by encouraging open communication, and cross-functional collaboration with the design teams. The goal is to streamline all processes and create lean practices so engineers have more time and energy to design next-generation ideas and products.”

In her personal life, Emmanuelle is a mother of two, an accomplished pianist, seamstress and baker — often sharing her talents with the greater community by quilting for others, playing piano in local concerts and baking tasty treats for colleagues.

Chris

Ph.D., Design Engineer Manager

Chris is a design engineering manager for Qorvo's millimeter wave products. What stands out about Chris is the way he balances his deep desire to solve technical problems while proactively understanding and assisting all the different aspects of a program.

As a design manager, he strives to understand the full spectrum of a program — customers, marketing, quality, production — so he can make the product the best it can be. He loves the broad view and access to the entire product development process at Qorvo. "You influence your product from start to finish here. If you're just a design house, you don't get all the inside information from R&D and manufacturing, and more importantly, you wouldn't get to influence it. But because we have the technology process and the design in-house, we can move the technology forward."

In his personal life, most of Chris's time is devoted to his wife and two young children. Chris is an avid music fan who loves to attend orchestra and opera performances when time allows; otherwise he listens to lots of music on one of his high-performance audio systems. He and his wife also love to take vacations that combine local sightseeing with outside activities like biking and hiking.
